Tony Mitchell is Buyer and Director of eCommerce as well as a buyer for American Furniture Warehouse. He is also leading the omnichannel initiatives for AFW.com. In 24 years with AFW, Mitchell has traveled the world extensively sourcing and negotiating on product directly with factories as well as agents. He oversees all aspects of ocean freight contracts, systems integration and other services to manage the flow of over 7,500 40-foot containers to AFW’s five distribution centers from origins around the globe. Along with a passion for furniture, Mitchell has a passion for automation, transparency and visibility for all stakeholders in the supply chain. He brings a unique perspective with his experience in the logistical processes from factory floors to customer homes.
