Andy Shefsky joined the Nebraska Furniture Mart family in 2015 as the company’s customer engagement analyst. In this role, he works with the sales and customer service teams to develop the world-class customer experience that Nebraska Furniture Mart aims to deliver. He and his team recently rolled out a sales methodology designed to set NFM customers and sales professionals up for long term success.
Prior to joining NFM, Shefsky worked in software sales, leading several top-producing digital marketing sales teams. As he describes it, he had decided to branch out and “face his fear of technology head on,” and, in the process, developed a passion for helping retail businesses improve their customer engagement strategies. Shefsky’s teams were consistently rated among the highest performing teams and served clients consisting of more than 5,000 brands.
A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in psychology, Shefsky spent more than a decade working for his family’s publishing company in Atlanta, Ga. During that time, he worked with every department of the company before finding his niche overseeing the sales department.
Shefsky enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Jessica, and two sons, ages 9 and 12. He is also an active member of the community, coaching youth sports and participating in several mentorship programs.
