Born into a retail family business founded in 1925 in Windsor Ontario, the eldest of 3 boys, Andrew Tepperman returned to the family business in 1997.

He left Windsor in 1984, to attend high-school at Upper Canada College in Toronto. He matriculated from Vassar College in NY in 1993 with a degree in Political Science and Economics while also attending Dartmouth University and the American University in Paris.

From 1993 to 1997 he worked for The Berkline Corporation in Washington, D.C., Montreal and Knoxville, Tennessee.

In 1997, Tepperman’s acquired the largest independent furniture retailer in London ON, and Andrew relocated there for the next for 3 years. In 2000 he moved back to Windsor, to continue to grow the company. In 2006 he was appointed President. A big part of building a successful business is returning the favor to the communities his family serves. In 1998, Andrew helped established a Tepperman’s scholarship trust and, to date, over 600 scholarships have been awarded to children all across Ontario. In 2008 he spearheaded the development of Tepperman’s new 185,000 sqft retail and distribution facility in London. In 2013 he received the Large Business Award from the Windsor Chamber of Commerce. In 2016 he opened Tepperman’s newest facility in Kitchener. That same year he received an award from the London Chamber of Commerce in Environmental Leadership. In May of 2017 he and his team broke ground on a new state of the art retail store in Sarnia and a 1.9 million cu.ft. expansion to their London Distribution solidifying them as the largest family home furnishings retail business in Ontario.

Tepperman’s is in year three of their 10 year 2025 Vision. Six Guiding Principles are at the foundation of what they do, including being a leader in sustainability.

Andrew also is a Director on a number of Boards including the North American Home Furnishings Association and a member of YPO. He credits his growth to excellent mentors, new experiences and a philosophy of continuous self-improvement. Andrew has been married to Tina since 2005 and they have two children, Lia and Nathan.
