Finalists named for Furniture Industry Leadership Awards

Furniture Today has announced the finalists for the first-ever Furniture Industry Leadership Awards, a unique new recognition program in which the retailers, manufacturers and consumers select the honorees. Winners will be announced at Furniture Today’s Leadership Conference Nov. 29 – Dec. 1.

The first-of-its-kind industry awards program is designed to recognize best-in-class retail organizations at three sales volume levels – under $50 million; $51 million – $350 million; and more than $350 million—allowing nominees to be more accurately rated against businesses of similar size, scale and resources.

“This is an industry filled with many talented and committed retailers. With this new awards program we want to give not only the industry, but the consumers they serve an opportunity to recognize their efforts,” said Furniture Today Editor in Chief Bill McLoughlin. “We feel it is important now, and in the future, to offer recognition programs that deliver transparent and measurable criteria for achieving these honors. We will continue to build this program in that direction in the coming years.”

Retailer awards this year will be given in three categories:

Peer Honors: Selected by a survey of retailers for each of the three sales volume classifications. Industry Honors: Selected by a survey of manufacturers, for each of the three sales volume classifications Voice of the Consumer Honors: Based on results of a nationally and regionally representative survey of consumers.

Three finalists are being announced in each segment with Grand FILA Winners to be announced at the Furniture Today Leadership Conference Awards Dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 30.

In addition, one manufacturer will receive Best Product of the Year. This award is given based on an open-ended selection by retailers.
